Terms of Service

1. About MakanBiz

MakanBiz is a QR code ordering platform for restaurants, operated by Roninverse Studio. The platform allows restaurant owners ("Merchants") to create digital menus and receive orders from their customers ("End Users") via QR code scanning. The service is available at makanbiz.app (application) and makanbiz.my (landing page).

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using MakanBiz, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

3. Accounts

Merchants must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including any staff PIN codes you create. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

One restaurant may have one MakanBiz account. Sharing accounts across unrelated businesses is not permitted.

4. Subscription Plans and Pricing

MakanBiz offers four tiers:

• Free— $0/month with a 5% platform fee per order. Online payment only (pay-first model).
• Starter— $9/month (or $79/year). 0% platform fee. Unlocks cash payments.
• Standard— $25/month (or $219/year). 0% platform fee. Adds kitchen display, analytics, and data export.
• Pro— $50/month (or $429/year). 0% platform fee. Full feature set including staff management and marketing tools.

Prices are in USD. We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' advance notice. Active subscriptions will complete their current billing cycle at the existing rate.

5. Payments and Billing

All payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing date.

For Free plan users, a 5% platform fee is automatically deducted from each order via Stripe Connect. Payment processing fees charged by Stripe are separate and borne by the Merchant.

6. Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable for partial billing periods. If you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.

For order-level refunds, Merchants may initiate refunds to their customers through the dashboard. Platform fees already collected on refunded orders are not returned, as they have already been settled.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use MakanBiz for any unlawful purpose or to sell prohibited items.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the platform.
• Interfere with the platform's operation or other users' access.
• Upload malicious content, including harmful code or misleading menu information.
• Resell or redistribute the service without written permission.

8. Merchant Responsibilities

As a Merchant, you are responsible for:

• The accuracy of your menu items, descriptions, pricing, and allergen information.
• Fulfilling orders placed through the platform in a timely manner.
• Complying with all applicable food safety, licensing, and business regulations in your jurisdiction.
• Managing your staff accounts and PIN access securely.

9. Intellectual Property

MakanBiz, its logo, design, and code are owned by Roninverse Studio. You retain ownership of your restaurant content (menu items, images, descriptions). By uploading content, you grant us a license to display it within the platform for the purpose of operating the service.

10. Service Availability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or experience downtime due to factors beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify Merchants of planned maintenance.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time from your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or remain inactive for an extended period.

Upon termination, your menu and store data will be retained for 30 days, after which it may be permanently deleted. Active subscription balances are not refunded upon termination for violations.

12. Limitation of Liability

MakanBiz is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roninverse Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform, including but not limited to lost revenue, data loss, or business interruption.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to MakanBiz in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Malaysia.
